SO, the count down is almost complete, roll on Christmas Day almost too late to do anything about it now.  No more to post, just the dinner for CD and BD to be collected, stuffing made, vegetables peeled.  Son in law is making his sherry trifle and some fresh fruit and we’re off.  the same on Wednesday, leg of pork with crackling and some of the apple sauce from the trees at the bottom of the garden.

And talking of the Titanic, one more thing.   We went to the Titanic Hotel for a meal last week, what a disappointment.  Wonderful setting, lovely dining room and reasonable food but limited menu, especially for a vegetarian,  but no atmosphere, piped poppy music, no brochures to give some background to a visitor and very poor service.  The place needs a maitre d’ to take charge and train the young staff in the ways of service and speeding things up.

I know I’m not the only one to think this and others have written letters as I intend to do, to comment rather than to complain, the point being I would like to recommend this restaurant but at the moment I can’t.   Such a perfect stage but a poor production.
